Security Administrator vs Security Engineer?

Hope I picked the right flair!

What’s the difference in these two roles? Is it sort of like system administrator versus system engineer? So same “type” of role but one is typically “higher”?

Or do these titles indicate completely different responsibilities?

My understanding is they both set up, implement, maintain and may or may not operate security tools, along with other security work (such as escalations from an analyst or looking into potentially malicious emails, etc)? submitted by /u/denmicent
